Hello guys :),
\nLast weekend a friend from Singapore visited me in Ubud. She picked me up with her little ‚Scoopy‘ scooter and we made our way out of the city. On the scooter, I asked her where exactly we would go and what the ‚Hidden Canyon‘ actually is. She just said, „Oh, a friend told me about it, he said you might get a bit wet.“ At that moment that sounded quite relaxed for me. A bit of water is not bad …<\/p>\n

When we arrived at the Hidden Canyon car park and at the ticket stand, our illusion was directly destroyed.<\/p>\n

The salesmen said that we can’t do the hike without a guide. Especially not two young women. That made me a bit nervous and I asked, the first time at all, what kind of way it was.
\nWith a rather bad English, they explained to me that there is no dry path, but only a path through the river flowing through the gorge. And you should actually wear a bikini or short things … because you have to climb and you will go into the the deep river.
\nWhile the guides told me about this, I looked down at me and was not quite as happy with my outfit (see photos). To be honest, it was quite impractical. Way too long. Way too much fabric and way too big.<\/p>\n

But now we were already there … so there was no step back for me. And it was the best decision in a long time. The canyon was just incredible. And once again I realized how many wonderful things our Mother Earth offers. \u00a0It was really fun to climb up the canyon and I always went through a little adrenaline rush, because it was a bit more difficult and I was a bit afraid to slip right from the slippery rocks.<\/p>\n

Tips for the trip:<\/p>\n

– wear a bikini or short clothes
\n– only take your phone with you (the guides have waterproof bags)
\n– Don’t be afraid the guides make sure that nothing will happens to you!
\n– have fun!!<\/p>\n

Hallo ihr Lieben,<\/p>\n

letztes Wochenende besuchte mich eine Freundin aus Singapore in Ubud. Sie holte mich mit ihrem kleinen flinken ‚Scoopy‘ Roller ab und wir machten uns auf den Weg raus aus der Stadt. Auf dem Roller fragte ich sie dann, wo genau wir eigentlich hingehen w\u00fcrden und was der ‚Hidden Canyon‘ eigentlich ist.
\nSie meinte nur, „…ach ein Freund hat mir davon erz\u00e4hlt. Er sagte man kann vielleicht etwas nass werden.“ Das klang in diesem Moment ja alles ganz entspannt f\u00fcr mich. So ein bisschen Wasser ist ja nicht schlimm…<\/p>\n

Als wir dann aber am Parkplatz des Hidden Canyon und am Ticketstand ankamen, wurde unsere Illusion von einem entspannten Walk durch den Canyon direkt vernichtet. Denn die Verk\u00e4ufer meinten, dass wir zwei Frauen nicht ohne Begleitung (also nicht ohne Guide) in den Canyon d\u00fcrfen. Das machte mich dann doch etwas stutzig & ich fragte das erste Mal \u00fcberhaupt nach, welche Art von Weg es denn sei.<\/p>\n

Mit einem ziemlich schlechten Englisch erkl\u00e4rten sie mir dann, dass es keinen trockenem Weg gibt, sondern nur einen Weg durch den Fluss, welcher mitten durch die Schlucht flie\u00dft. Und man eigentlich einen Bikini oder kurze Sachen anhaben sollte… da man klettern und bis zur Brust ins Wasser muss. (Eine andere M\u00f6glichkeit gibt es nicht! :D) W\u00e4hrend die Guides mir davon erz\u00e4hlten, schaute ich an mir herunter und war mit meiner Outfitwahl nicht ganz so zufrieden (Siehe Fotos😅). Um ehrlich zu sein, war es ziemlich unpraktisch. Viel zu lang. Viel zu viel Stoff und viel zu weit.<\/p>\n

Aber jetzt waren wir schonmal da… also gab es f\u00fcr mich keinen Schritt zur\u00fcck. Und es war die beste Entscheidung seit langem. Die Schlucht war einfach unglaublich. Mir wurde mal wieder aufs neue klar, was unsere Mutter Erde so wundersch\u00f6nes zu bieten hat. Es machte unheimlich Spa\u00df den Canyon entlang zu klettern und mich durchfuhr immer mal wieder ein kleiner Adrenalinsto\u00df, weil es doch etwas schwieriger wurde und ich etwas Angst hatte gleich vom rutschigen Fels zu rutschen.<\/p>\n

Tipps f\u00fcr den Ausflug:
\n– einen Bikini oder kurze Kleidung tragen
\n– nehmt nur euer Handy mit & lasst alle anderen Wertgegenst\u00e4nde zuhause (Die Guides haben eine wasserfeste Tasche)
\n– habt keine Angst, die Guides wissen genau was sie machen und helfen euch wirklich super.
\n– Habt Spa\u00df! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
